4" Damascus Liner Lock with Titanium Bolsters – Fordite
This model raises the bar in quality and construction for our 4" liner-lock series. It features precision CNC-machined stainless-steel frames, textured titanium bolsters, ceramic ball bearings, a mother-of-pearl thumb stud, and a deep-carry titanium pocket clip configured for tip-up carry. The action is exceptionally crisp and responsive when opening and closing.
The 110-layer stainless Damascus blade combines N690 and 440C stainless steels in our distinctive rose pattern. The blade is digitally flat-ground to produce a precise, razor-sharp edge.
The handles feature genuine Fordite—also known as Detroit Agate—a unique material formed from colorful layers of cured automotive paint. Each pattern reveals a piece of American automotive history, ensuring no two knives are exactly alike. Each piece is handcrafted and assembled in our Santa Fe studio.

Fordite, also known as Detroit Agate or Motor City Agate, is a colorful piece of American automotive history. Although it resembles a natural stone, Fordite is created from hundreds of layers of automotive paint that accumulated inside automobile factories during decades of production.
Before modern electrostatic painting systems became standard, paint overspray collected on the tracks, racks, and skids that carried vehicles through factory paint booths. Each new automobile added another layer of color, and repeated trips through the curing ovens hardened the paint into dense, stone-like material.
When Fordite is carefully cut and polished, its hidden layers are revealed as brilliant stripes, waves, rings, and swirling patterns. Colors can range from classic black, white, and metallic silver to vivid reds, blues, greens, yellows, oranges, and purples. Each layer represents a different moment in automotive production and reflects the changing vehicle colors and styles of its era.
Despite its name, Fordite was created at factories operated by several automobile manufacturers and is not exclusive to the Ford Motor Company. Modern painting technology produces very little of this material, making authentic vintage Fordite an increasingly limited and collectible industrial artifact.
110-Layer N690 and 440C Stainless Damascus — Small Rose Pattern
This stainless Damascus blade is forged from 110 alternating layers of N690 and 440C stainless steels, creating the compact, swirling Small Rose pattern. The combination provides excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, hardness, and durability. Vacuum heat treatment and a working hardness of approximately 59–60 HRC support dependable cutting performance, while the layered construction gives every blade a distinctive appearance.
